Hugh,

No offense, but you really need to read an IPO prospectus and understand the process here. Forget shares. Ampex owns or will own at least 51% of the enterprise called TvontheWeb. You are right. They don't have to do an IPO, but we were talking about what happens when they do DO an IPO. When and if an IPO is done, Ampex will have shares that represent that ownership.

OK Hugh, here is a simple example which shows how it normally works. Say AXC owns 51 million shares and Gardy owns 49 million shares. The do an IPO and sell 10 million new shares. AXC still owns 51 million shares, but there are 110 million shares out, so AXC's ownership interest is down to 46%.
