Limtex,

I have ordered "Windows CE for Dummies" and have been looking into quirks with programming courtesy of Microsoft. I am just starting to learn some of the rules of the game.

The mp3 player I have loaded requires one to create a file directory system on the CF card labelled Storage Card/My Documents/Hum, where Hum is the application name and the folder which contains the mp3 files.

The fact is, the applications now available for Win CE have taken manufacturers by surprise and a higher level of sophistication by the user is required, a requisite that may hinder acceptance of this product by a wider audience.

I will respond later to your E-15 inquiries and perhaps you could post specific questions regarding the device on a bulletin board for Casio users. Seems like we are a bit off topic here.

Limtex,

Just to make you feel better...

I went to buy some "content" at the http:///www.audible.com site because I have a $20.00 gift certificate there. I was interested in the content player just to see how it stacks up to other audio devices such as those we have discussed here. Audible wants $299.00 for a 8 hour player with 16 MB of flash RAM (cannot be upgraded) or $149.00 for a device with 4 MB flash RAM (no upgrade to 16 MB or higher) or $79.00 for a the 4 MB device and a contract to buy $9.95 per month of content from the site for 1 year.

You can, however, download software to handheld Windows CE players to enable them to play Audible files. Thus, you save by not needing a player, you leave one extra device at home, and you have the convenience of carrying as much content as your 40 MB CF card can handle. Also, you can use your ImageMate to load files.

Thus, there are some value added features of owning the Cassiopeia!!!

(Do you have a mono audio jack or stereo?)
