Cramer makes a living describing his bowel movements day by day in public. I have never followed him, considered his advice, acted on his advice or in any way taken him seriously. I suspect that he got the idea for the article you referred to from half hearing a conversation in the elevator between the Federal Express Man and the head of the typist pool. He remembered enough of it to be able to scribble a couple of hundred words.

Gates is following a strategy that he has spelled out on numeorus occasions over a number of years. COMPAQ is also following a strategy that relies less on personal PC's.

It is difficult to relate these issues to Cramer's garbled jottings.
