Right, I agree with the end of the year call. I am longer in this stock than any other issue, but you have to admit, the near blatant disregard for some of the unpleasant facts strains the credibility of the posting, and the board in general.

The lack of an announced roll-out date yesterday has to be a bit of a letdown. I think the statement by Malone from Steve Hausser post #3994 speaks volumes:

<< I said to John Malone it seemed that according to Lee Masters' presentation, ACTV technology use would be quite substantial. He neither confirmed nor denied it. I took his nondenial as a confirmation. When I asked him when we could expect to see a commercial launch of these products, he smiled and looked at Dob Bennett who also smiled and said that we have to get more boxes out there.>>

I still think it's the old boxes. A while back I picked up from the GIC board that TCI had bot 900,000 of the old boxes. I don't know the cost but let's say $100 bucks each. That's a big investment to have go obsolete in one big announcement. Thus my question of a few days ago about is TCI trying like hell to market them to you too?

There are many reasons to love this stock as a story stock. At some point they have to make a business of it. No one is going to beat Microsoft for long in a market on reputation alone. They will have to have a solid business plan, and the numbers will have to be there to support it. The value of the shares will come to depend more and more on this alone. And if the shareholders don't care about that, who will?

I was also at the meeting yesterday. I would pretty much agree with the other stuff already posted by others who also attended. There was an independent analyst who sat in front of me who I spoke with. Don't know who he is with and I did not get the impression he was 'big time', however, his opinion is 'this is all still just speculation until there is an actual rollout'. In other words, analysts may be waiting for the rollout before they really recommend ACTV. (IMHO)

I was surprised the meeting ended before anyone could ask about the rollout date, almost seemed as though they wanted to avoid the issue. I made a point to speak with Chris Klein (sp) to try and nail him down on this. When I asked when the Fox rollout would occur, he responded with 'It really doesn't matter'. My initial reaction was surprise, but he quickly explained & put me at ease. He said it will definately happen but it is not in their hands. He said something like now or little later really won't matter. He also said, in my words, that ACTV is a pimple compared to AT&T, and in his words, They are rolling out the red carpet for us and treat us like gold.

As was already mentioned, they want to roll out nationally, that is the reason for the delay.

Bill is a great speaker and was pumped. Some of his comments were 'this is a core break-thru in the industry'. He also said something like 'billions of dollars in revenue' and to look at this stock for the next 10 years.

My summary: I wouldn't be surprised if the rollout doesn't happen until the 4th quarter, but I really won't mind now. They are VERY confident they will be huge and their products are well protected and better than anything else out there. I have been a stock holder for almost two years now with 6000 shares. NO WAY I will selling any time soon.
