Jim,
At least partially anyway. The "powers-that-be" know full well that if gold starts taking off in a new bull market because of founded or unfounded fears of returning inflation, it would only help to make those fears even more amplified, as the rising gold price would be flashed all over the media making the average person very nervous about the future prices of everyday items. So, they take every chance they get to talk it down and manipulate it in my opinion. Yogi
