Mike, I agree with you about comparing the run-up in IFCI to Amerilink. ALNK was having trouble growing and got lucky that Tandy wanted to buy them. But the purchase of Amerilink focused investors on the value & growth rates for those companies laying co-axial cable and fiber around this nation. The industry is a big deal (look at the valuation being accorded to Dycom -DY e.g.) and it took Tandy Corp. to wake-up more investors to the values. I believe that it is just chance that the "searchlight" caught IFCI in today's spotlight, but I am grateful for the attention now being paid to these companies and to this industry. (I suspect we will now get the long awaited major firm report which will include all the players, now that it is apparent there are investment banking dollars available).

By the way, Joe Keeley has every intention of selling IFCI at some point to a large corporation. I would not have guessed that it would be a Tandy Corp. but it could well be a GE, or HON, or many other companies who specialize in complex construction projects. Thanks for the highlight.
