Well lets see...we put a pe multiple of 25 on Dell and do the math. I think that is what everyone is worried about. If the street starts valuing Dell and the box makers by anything remotely resembling a value as juxtaposed to earnings growth then the multiple will contract and thus the share price as well. I know the true believers here will never believe that dell should not sell at a multiple of twice its earnings growth rate but in fact I do not see the high multiple continuing forever for dell. In short I believe the multiple will start to approach the earnings growth rate of the company in time, how much time ???? I do not know.

taxman...only because "perceptions" determine the price of a stock not only on any given day, but long term.......why are internet issues so overvalued.........solely due to the "perception" of the future magnitude of the internet...no more, no less...stock price does not always move in unison with growth rate.....has not cpq, even with it's poor quarterly earnings expectations, earned a hell of a lot more than last year...???
