I agree with you. Another reason for the pause is too many internet IPO's. You see, available money for investment is limited. It is same money now chasing say 30 stocks, instead of chasing 5 or so. The result is that on the days AOL and YHOO are down, there are still stocks with 40-50 points gain like etoys. I think valuations for new IPO's are even more crazy than AOL, YHOO and XCIT. I think pretty soon it is going to be shake down time. You will see some companies simply merge or disappear and a lot of people will loose a lot of money.
I am afraid as usual, I may be one of them.
