Thank you. Seriously though, my understanding of why Canada is more cabled is as follows: Historically, most Canadians wanted the 3 major US networks (ABC, NBC, and CBS). For those of us living near the US border, and near a US city, you could generally park an antenna on your roof, and with a bit of rotor spinning, you could get them, but the quality was not great. For those living away from the border, you couldn't get them at all. So, when cable came along, it was very popular, and over the past couple of decades, darn near all of us got cabled. As I understand it, most Americans could get the major networks with an antenna or rabbit ears, so cable never really caught on to the same extent. So, when @Home came along, DANG! we were ready!
