Didn't they get first silicon last July, 1998?

Looks like AMD is scrambling just to get a "workable" K7 out by June.

How long does it take to reasonably debug a chip after first silicon?
Who knows how old or what revision Anands sample is. Doesn't really matter as look as the final is workable.
Remember Toms Klamath samples? They were S L O W right up until release.
