Well lets put it this way George. If my husband came home one day and said he was going to run a 2 minute mile well then that would be one thing. Otoh lets say he was starting a high tech company. I was working full time to support the family while he went around to get funding. During this time I am helping in the evening writing the business plan. I talk to VC people that call the house. Then, he gets funding and decides not to select me as VP engineering. Look at the difference between Clinton and Dole on this matter. Dole can't even support his wife who has supported him for all this time and is running her own campaign etc. In contrast Clinton was comfortable putting Hillary in to WH appointments that she wasn't even qualified for some would argue! I'm not talking about a mere endorsement here - I'm talking about Clinton being willing to stand up to some major criticism on her behalf, this at a time when there was no precedent for it! And Dole can't even say, "yeah, I'd vote for her?" Give me a break!
