Shares of Worldgate Communications (WGAT: news, msgs) get a strong buy rating from Preferred Capital Markets, which puts a 12 to 18 month target price of $75 on the stock. The company gives cable companies the gear they need to hook customers up to the Internet via their TV sets and went public just last month. The brokerage forecasts Worldgate's subscriber base will grow to a quarter million this year and 650,000 by 2001 and predicts a profit by 2002.
