In some ways reinforced by Intel's recent moves into home networking, buying networking chip firms, and charging one of their highly regarded execs (Parker) with building a 'server farm' business. Also the move into higher end computing via Merced. Also by the resurgence of IBM and big iron (although I do seem to recall you saying IBM is 'too slow' and 'it is over for them' <ggg>). Final example would be Sun, and the benefit they are deriving from the internet via large servers...

Regards,
John

<< Change is in the wind. >>

I tend to agree. This afternoon I made a tough decision and sold 2/3 of my remaining DELL shares -- took it ALL off margin and then some. I still have a position in DELL but its not the same stock it used to be. Perception is Important. I love Michael Dell and the company he has created. Yet, I AM NOT in love with this stock. DELL will come back and I'm pulling for this company. Yet, DELL may take a number of quarters to work through this transition.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Best Regards,

Scott
