Colin,

If you sell today, you lose your shares. Look at the BANY thread, and the posts that I listed earlyer. I still don't know about the DOR. Still trying to figure that one out from the BANY experience. They went through the EXACT SAME THING very recently. The posts listed show the outcome. There are probably more that I didn't see. I just scanned through. If you look you will see a glimpse of how this will likely pan out. How valuable is that?

Colin- You are right. When the statement was made that the dividend would be distributed to May 20 shareholders of record, it was followed by a period. Management cannot possibly add the reference

"TNRG at no time stated or implied that TNRG shareholders who sold their TNRG shares after the May 20, 1999 record date would still be entitled to the TIPS dividend".

This add on is a complete non sequitor. If you own them on the 20th of May, you get the dividend. Period, end of story. It appears they are trying to backpedal on a statement that was riddled from the start with multiple interpretations.

What a can of worms.
