on Monday, QCOM may be listed with ITU relevant 3G manu release. wonder if QCOM will put out a press release extolling the release?

Try going back to 1991 and look at the quotes on US analog service. Or perhaps 1992 for US TDMA. They all said the same, that their place was established and that they had alot of buildout to go and that CDMa was not a rival, but a LATER enhancement. No big deal. GSM is over there and has alot of customer base left to build out. BUT if they really want to build for next geenration and for capacity, then they either need WCDMA or CDMA, and then it will be the "next generation" of wireless. So would you be buying alot of analog stock in 1993-4? (answer - Yes but then sell it in 1995, Mot was doing great with the nth version of the StarTAC and decided to play that hand alot and not play the CDMA one...and we all know how that story ended...)
