The fact that AMD was up and staying "in the money" with respect to the expiring May 20 calls was extremely impressive. No doubt the market makers who wrote most of these calls were trying to drop the price to 20 1/8 where it would not even pay to exercise them, but they were unsuccessful.

Options expiration successfully moved INTC lower. A total of 104,211 call options expired worthless.

AMD has now closed above both its 50 day M.A. and its 200 day M.A. for three consecutive days. Intel, OTOH, has closed below its 50 day M.A. for six consecutive days. It appears that it will have to test the 54.5 to 55.5 area of its long term moving average.
