I too am long on this stock and appreciate the new activity...my thought has been that token based security makes me as a user feel more secure (if I use it, for example, I know that I encrypted my attachments to e-mail - and this is also probably a prerequisite for me to make banking over the net a part of my life). While it may not be necessary, I'd appreciate any information on whether this should actually be the case, or will we have to rely on "most people will want to take this extra step". But I'm aware of at least a few of the other security measures "out there", such as the digital certificate approach of Verisign which, I believe, requires me to work at a particular PC (this is being written in Dallas - live in ny...). Even in a work place environment, I frequently read mail/respond/send attachments from other company (distributed store locations)or supplier PC's. For example, at this particular machine (not one of mine)I can look up that it's set at 40 bit encryption but I'm not otherwise sure of the network structure from there. If I was in banking, I'm also not sure I'd want to rely on commercial or retail customers application of a particular security level (and denying access to them if it wasn't good enough).

Thanks for anyone's response...where does VDSI stand in the smart card token arena - haven't looked of late. This is not an endorsement but good luck!
