On-line gaming has few barriers to entry right now. Just like the internuts its' more of a faithful audience kind of thing. If nothing else, such a site can help TDFX with developer relations and branding, their stated goal. If gaming sites were to take off, lots' of big players would jump in - AOL and crowd. TDFX would need to compete on loyalty. It would be nice if they could somehow work in a hardware dependency of some kind but I don't think it likely. At the moment, it desperately needs more simplicity so that the average user could easily participate. Regardless, a small investment now could give them some lead time on a potentially profitable business. Think about it - Yahoo did more with what's basically a search function. Who's to say? Joe C.
