Opportunity does not guarantee ability....thus Society depends on re-distribution of income..Once there is not enough income to redistribute (costs higher than income) than this bluff will be called.. This is the best country on earth (for people with abilities of course) But would we last as long as Rome....? I doubt (Social Security not for sure)

Ron, Ben Wattenberg had a phrase that I like (he used it for a book title): the United States is the first Universal Nation...World federation will come only with a reasonable degree of cultural synchronization. There is a long way to go, and the culture of the United States is likely to form the basis of international culture, since it is the model for multi- ethnic, modern culture, and the "best seller" world wide....
