Then hell, you should be advocating an aggressive and imperialistic US society. Is that what you're implying?? Screw Democracy and let's become a warrior nation and force everyone to respect our power?? Democracy is governed by laws and reason, neither of which equate to brute power excercised under "jungle law" you think we live in. If we're content to only act upon our animalistic instincts and emotions, then what the heck are we doing fooling around with civil rights and international law?? Is not the sheer exercise of power a law unto itself? I don't have to lower my expectations of what kind of society we should be living in.
