MB - (...You are calling for a slowdown in the second half of the year while the consensus of earnings growth is 17% this year. Since the first quarter was 9-10%, against a weak comparison, you won't get there with a weak second half...)

Just on a single point, wasn't last year's second half weaker than last year's first half, potentially lowering the bar? It may have been a limited sample, but I remember the third calendar quarter of 1998 as being particularly weak.

Regards, Don

nb - Microsquash has backtracked, and will be putting out a tweak (another 9x update) this summer for consumers, while trying furiously to work the bugs out of 2k for business. 2k is a real update, though it still bases on the stodgy NT core. NT6 (if it still exists) was supposed to be their kernel advance -- dunno how that's coming along. -mb
