'Contestants': i have a better idea: let's make this Buffett-like interesting: Let's buy stock the way Buffet 'might': Let's do this: We will each be allocated $250,000 PER MONTH - over the next X number of months (6-8-10-12 ?), to be used to buy UP TO BUT NOT MORE THAN THREE (3) ISSUES, you MUST buy stocks (not Funds), NO BB issues, and if you don't buy them, the money does NOT roll over to the following month.
You can Sell a pick AON, but only one (1) every three (3) months, at closing price of the day you say to sell, same timestamp rules apply, and the cash from the sale CAN roll to the following month.
You must tell me your picks/choices before opening bell the following day of your choice, and i am in the Central Time Zone, and my time stamp is the only one that matters.
You can P/M me your picks if you like, but i will post them publicly 60 days AFTER you 'bought' them. (like a 13D filing), and you must tell me about splits or takeovers or bankruptcies, because i WILL NOT see them.
So, if we do it this way, we can keep an eye on what is lagging yet good (underpriced) IN OUR OWN MINDS, and buy when we think the price is right, as opposed to just buying a bunch of stock according to this Mondays' close and sitting on them for.... years.
Anybody have any pros or cons to this ?
I will go on record right now and say most of what i am going to buy will be AT&T and then some Oils (probably).
