Bill, can you comment on your proposed election to the board of directors of GNET? Isn't there some conflict here between your investing philosophy, and that of the entire internet sector, GNET included? On any rational level, the stock is WILDLY overpriced. Will your election here prevent you from shorting stocks like it? I need to cast my vote for my paltry 400 shares and would really like to know what you see in this company that is different from most of the others that you regularly "make fun of" on the Rap. Thanks.

Gary

Bill,
If you havent followed this particular micron moment, this is how the MU discussion got to the number $87.

from Microns 1997 $435,000,000 convertible:
edgar-online.com

comes this item:

<<Notes will not be redeemable following July 2, 1999 and before July 3, 2001
unless the last reported sale price for the Company's Common Stock is at least
130% of the conversion price for at least 20 trading days within a period of
30 consecutive trading days ending within five trading days of the call for
redemption. See "Description of Notes--Optional Redemption". The Notes are not
entitled to any sinking fund. The Notes will mature on July 1, 2004.>>

The conversion price is $67.44. 130% of 67.44 gets to $87.

Any thoughts on whether or not MU will manage to weasel out of $70M of interest payments due by 1/1/00?

love the Rap,
tom
