Good point, but I think both Intel & AMD better get used to lower ASPs. Hard to fight market forces. Question is, can you make it up in other ways: the cost-side of the equation, expanding into new markets, adding new features to CPU, etc. I find it hard to believe that an OEM would pay that much for a dektop K7, especially if it has just PIII-level performance.
