Except for some executives getting a sweet deal I can think why a dog like CS would sell but the data sure looks like it's happening; thought the thread might like this info from Thomson Network cuz it is pretty substantial backing for the general view here. What can I say? How 'bout go PTEK, go NITE, OSI has to be for real this time.

21-May-99 11:38:50 Cabletron System is trading higher for the fourth consecutive
session and posting an 18% gain for the period. Takeover rumors have fueled the
stock's gains while the firm has also enjoyed positive exposure in several sell-
side firms. Cabletron last traded up $5/8 at $14 1/16. The firm's options are
active with the June 15 calls trading up $3/8 to $1 1/8 on volume of 2205
compared to open interest of 529. (Today marks the expiration of May contracts
for stock and index options). Institutional investors are actively trading the
Cabletron today with 55% of total volume stemming from block trades. The
reported trade data shows institutional broker Cowen & Co is the most active
trader of the stock, reporting over 600,000 shares while retail execution firm
Knight/Trimark is number two with 477,000 shares reported.
