somewhere near the bottom. The wording there is kinda vague, but I also remember reading it off of voodooextreme sometime, but their search engine is down.

re: compression and AGP. i agree. AGP was designed to be a solution to a problem that doesn't exist anymore. The only way i see AGP useful as a solution as kinda like a secondary cache to primary board memory. but event then, with nintendo/NEC thinking of included 16 MB of embedded DRAM on their next generation chip, memory bandwidth could become a thing of the past.
