Thanks for post of article. Very interesting news -- didn't know it had already passed the House. Looks good for satellite TV vs. cable, incrementally at least, and maybe also secondarily for AOL DirecTV link-up with Hughes.

As some one who has both DirecTV and cable, something like this could persuade me to drop cable when all local channels are available. I'm one who is glad to see stipulation to transmit ALL local programming.
Obviously for clarity of video, full stereo sound effect my cable doesn't hold a candle to the satellite reception.

Let's hope the proposed legislation will serve to level the playing field just a little.

**OT** BTW, saw some of your posts recently on GMH thread -- I recently added some GMH to my DISH, so to speak.
