It's good they start to react, rather than feeling above response to many of the false accusations made everyday on multiple boards.

Far too easy for stock rock&rollers to blame MM's for a lot of things.

The MM system does actually work very good - also for us shareholders.
Problem comes when one is in a stock with only few MM's participating in the trade - Short positions does appear, but mostly by accident.
The illegal shorting is much more used by debenture holders from outside USA - RICO act is trying to take care of such, but it is certainly not easy.

Imagine you are an MM - deliberately shorting - Now look at how ARET has moved lately - would you be able to sleep at night.? - Nah!!
Deliberate shorting is much too dangerous for those people - why should they - look at the trading the earn a good percentage at each trade - why take any risk shorting ??

Really very good that the MM's start to act.

How many MM's trading ARET now - can be seen at level II trade systems. - I haven't got it, but I'll expect that there are some 15 or more active on ARET now - They are not working together, they are actually in competition for the trade - Because they only earn money when trading the stock.

Thanks Jake for bringing this story up - I really like getting the opportunity to discuss that subject.

Tonto, if you see this, maybe you have some time to elaborate on the RICO act.

Kind regards
Jens

Serious legal question:

If someone (???) posts defamatory messages about a
company officer but intentionally spells that person's
name incorrectly, is this as serious an offense?

Sorry I had to ask. This practice continues on Raging
Bull (sadly).
