To all - (esp. wild and crazy speculating fools) - I called the proper person at the CBOE to request that LEAPs (listed options that go out further than 9 months) be added on GSTRF.

I was told that unlike requesting additional (higher) strike price option series on stocks (which can be done by individuals) (and I have done it repeatedly regarding Qualcomm) -- on a request to add LEAPs, it has to be made by a securities firm.

So, I started that process (Thursday or Friday).

I have no way of knowing if my brokerage firm (which shall remain nameless) did indeed contact the CBOE.

And, even if they did -- the GSTRF options marketmakers can choose NOT to do it (without having to give any explanation or apology).

But, if the GSTRF LEAPs do appear soon, you can thank me (or, curse me -- when you get lured into doing dumb things with them).

Jon.
