John,

They've been able to ship 'production run' cells from line 1 in NI since last fall, and from line 2 since late winter. The cellphone cells being produced from line 2 are standard-sized 'startac' cells, so there's little 'design-in' apart from the repackager doing the circuitry and housing.

Given the extensive runtimes the machines have undergone and the large quantity of raw materials on hand since the first of the year, we would appear to be at the point of what you called the 'third phase' in your description, for the cellphone cells at least.

For the laptop cells it depends upon the application, since a bay battery or separate base battery is less of a design-in than would be an ultra-thin laptop. They've been able to sample Henderson cells since last August, and from NI since sometime late last fall. Lev said at the SM that they've had 'programs' ongoing since last fall.

We'll know more in a month, that's for sure.
