I agree. I was looking forward to this intro - starting to see AMDs ASPs climb slowly. Earlier, you hit the nail on the head about your comments about K6-3 in business applications.

Looks like it may be another month or so before the 180nm Dixon shows up - crucial time-to-market advantage for AMD, already with 47% market share in April according to the article, to nail down a few more sockets. And this time, unlike when K6-3 was introduced, I do not believe there is any shortage of parts. The key thing to watch is if there will be any major OEMs announcing on Monday.

On a related note, Compaq is pushing k6-3 hard on their consumer line. Looks like they are trying to make up for the loss of market share in April with some high ASP units. AMD has a full fiscal month worth of shipments to go. Should be fun to watch.
