Joe Firestone read a prepared review of the quarterly results, highlighting the additional store openings, the increase in revenues, the 0.14 vs 0.11 cent earnings, the quadrupling of internet sales Q-1 fiscal 2000 vs Q-1 fiscal 1999 etc. and indicated that the company was very much "on Track" to hit or exceed projections. He also indicated that Star Wars had "long legs" and was expected to run heavy from now through Christmas. There were many questions from analyst...all who congratulated the company on their results. Overall, it was extremely upbeat. Firestone said they where going to wind up with 105 store openings for the year. Seth Levy, head of the I-net operation said they were exploring several possible strategic alliances and that they were on track with the opening of their "state of the art" fulfillment center in Arizona slated to open later this year...in plenty of time for the holiday run. Sounds like they are doing a great job building the necessary infrastructure to handle the anticipated increase in volume of I-net orders. Q-2 should be a "no brainer" to beat expectations since they have the whole Star Wars thing going now, and are against only .02 cents for Q-2 last year.
Smith Barney was one of the underwriters of the IPO. I'm hoping we see some upward target movement from Smith Barney in light of the very positive CC. If we do, we could easily see the price per share break above $20.00 in a hurry.
IMHO
Do your own research.
Good luck,
RBL
