OK: put <*> in front of the text and end it with </*>

for italics, substitute that '*' with 'i'
for bold subsitute that '*' with 'b'.

have fun.

Paul

OT LOGAN12 - like what?

[ I just saw Paul's post - I was in 'Preview land' - but I'll post this anyway ]

Like THIS?

Once you know how - it's very very simple. HTML code - for the simpler stuff - is like the old word processor code for early versions of Word Perfect, Wordstar, etc. - just ON and OFF tags.

Roy gave the tags to italicize - but they are only visible when you view the list of messages for MSGI. If you bring up his post the browser understands that these are special instructions that it recognizes and it will not display the on/off tags - only the etxt inbetween - and as there was no text - nothing was displayed - and the tags are 'invisible' to the viewer, but revealed when you review the HTML source code.

For example, right-click the mouse button and a window will appear - select "View Source" and the HTML code will appear in another window.

All it takes to boldface or italicize is to use these tags:

<z>Insert text here</z>

<z> is the ON tag
</z> is the OFF tag

The browser doesn't understand what 'z' is so the whole tag is displayed. To simply boldface something replace 'z' with 'b' and the text between the on/off tags will be bold-faced. Similarly to italicize text replace 'z' with 'i'.

To display LOGAN12 simply use this code:

<x>LOGAN</x><y>12</y>

Replace 'x' with 'i' and 'y' with 'b'.

Now go out there and make me proud!!

SI limits the use of HTML code so you won't be able to use some other fun features.

Use the Preview window to check your code before y'all post.

David :)
