Hi Colin, One last time, the ex date is not 1 day after record date. I don't need to look at any text books to know that is completely ridiculous. In most cases the ex div date is before the record date. You can verify this by calling the New york Stock exchange div dept. It doesn't matter that this stk is not a NYSE stk. Obvioulsy I am unable to change your thinking abt this div but for what it's worth I'd be very careful with your accusations against Mr Tilton especially since you are out and out wrong abt the ex div being 1 day after record date. ALL others on this thread-- re the div of tips Buy before ex date and hold until ex date and you will get the div. Tony
