"Today, the standards bodies are working on new standards like IP over SONET. Osicom has taken the approach to a new level…. Transport of IP over DWDM. We call this Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDN)." I copied the above from page one of the Osicom slide show on their website. On George Gilder's thread he says that IP over WDM is the future and I agree. I also noticed that on slide 7 it shows DWDN works with Fibre Channel, which I think is important for tieing into the giant Fiber Channel storage farms that are starting to be built.
