As you have sort of done in your post, a 'case study' approach offers a lot of insight, and a spring board for further discussion.

It is useful to mention the particular stock and date that a trusted indicator gave a valuable signal which might have been acted on.

In the AOL case, StochRSI didn't prove valuable. Whereas with MRK, it did, but for just a single day.

Maybe there was a *second* indicator that, if looked at concurrently with the StochRSI, could have added additional value to the signal? Like oil **and** vinegar on a salad.
