a lot more than eps is driving stocks these days - it's the potential and possibilities. An IBM relationship has all sorts of possibilities. THere's a lot of upside. The new CEO is talking to analysts - telling them what he needs to do and how he is gong to do it. Bringing on a new VP-North Am. Sales sends multiple messages: 1) there's a problem and we're going to fix it - no more denial. 2) the new CEO can attract high quality managers 3) high quality managers who take a close look at the company can s ee the opportunity 4) presumably, the high quality managers do some due diligence, talk to some customers, and hear that the problems are sales and marketing execution, and not with the products.
