More Questions.

Two thirds of the quarter are just about over. Does anyone have sales figures for April? Does anyone have a copy of a detailed Cost of Goods Manufactured for Q1?

Does anyone have a copy of the "real" financials for Q1. By real I mean the detailed kind with 40 to 50 line items on the income statement that are handed to the board of directors but never seem to make it into an annual report or 10K or Q1. When I was involved in the automotive industry we generated monthly financials which included, in addition to the usual income statement, balance sheet and source and use of funds, a detailed manufacturing statement with standard costs and variances for every item of burden/overhead. It was standard operating procedure to analyze the cost of goods manufactured item by item (as to to burden or overhead) and compare variances to standards and then further analyze costs of goods manufactured by product line to determine the exact mix within and among and variances by product line. This sort of information was absolutely critical to making decisions and controlling costs. It certainly would be nice to see the same detail with respect to cpq's costs. The bod is probably worried that giving this info to general public is far too revealing of proprietary info. My understanding is that this info is given to select analysts after non-disclosure documents are signed.
