<Cirruslvr - re: Just curious, what do your fellow employees and bosses think about the unreleased K7? >

After attending the AMD K7 presentation in Oct, 1998 one of the WMT designers told me that they are afraid that AMD is sandbagging when projecting 500+ MHz upon intro. He said that the design looks highly scalable and that the team was taking K7 very seriously.

<Just curious, what do your fellow employees and bosses think about the unreleased K7?>

The guys I have lunch with don't have that much knowledge of the K7. Their views are like everyone else's, which is basically "Let's see how well AMD executes."

As for my bosses, they do take the K7 seriously. I think a lot of guys up top are bracing for the worst-case scenarios, not because it's likely, but because it's possible. Just your normal paranoia at work.
