Funny, I thought thought this thread educated you to the notion that the device is a silicon based analog VLSI "retina" with resolution better than film. Until then, you knew nothing other than the name Foveon. You are not wallowing in ignorance- you are bashing your way out of ignorance(aparently your chosen route to knowledge) with the help of this thread. You will emerge in time IMHO.
