Nightly Business Report, Friday, May 21, 1999 at 21:16
PAUL KANGAS: Stocks on Wall Street opened narrowly mixed...

...Cabletron Systems (NYSE:CS) up almost 2 points. The "Wall Street Strategies Market Letter" says it hears the company may get a $24 a share takeover bid sometime next week.

...Agco Corporation (NYSE:AG) which makes farm equipment, up 1 7/8. The latest issue of "Business Week" quotes Solomon Smith Barney which says the company may need a partner and its stock is very attractive now, because it's selling well below its $18 per share book value, an attractive takeover target says Solomon Smith Barney.

...Rubio's Restaurant (RUBO), this is a west coast Mexican restaurant chain, went public today. 3.1 million shares offered at $10.50. Opened at 13 5/8. The high of the day, 14 15/16. Closed pretty close to the high.
