Anyone,
When the ITU conference adopts the official G-lite standard next month, most expect the existing defacto standard from Aware to get the nod. But I understand TI/Amati has a full-rate G-LITE version. If TI has resolved the old power consumption problem on that model -- and I don't know if they have, but they've had a couple years to do it -- is anyone concerned about TI's intellectual property being the winner? I'm concerned that TI/Amati specifications might win the day, and Aware takes a major dump. Or maybe it doesn't matter--that G-Lite is simply G-lite, full-rate or not. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid--because, on the surface, the late June reg meeting should officially crown Aware as the only pure play with DSL IP around--that's strong and exciting and a good reason for Aware's hefty stock price and HUGE potential. If not, Aware is up against faster DSL and Goliath IT. So it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could clarify what they're voting on next month. Steve
