Keep in mind that MY exuberance is LONG TERM. Some of the things I am discussing take quarters or years to play out. Yes, the rescheduled meetings are this coming week (unless changed again). I have noticed that stair-step up patterns (if a stock is in one) tend to occur in the first 2 weeks after options expire. Then the last two weeks before options is a lot of sideways backing and filling. This seemed to be how ASND moved up in 1998. Anyone else notice this? Does this make sense?

Of the five major announcements for 1999, this will make four now out. The five are: 1) Wireless Fiber Driver 2) MetroFusion (from New Access) 3) System 8000 Open Switch Router (Linux Router) 4) Carrier class Terabit Router (Aranea from Charlotte's Web) 5) Optical Internetworking family of products (Dynamic DWDM - any-point to any-point Optical based switching, Routing, cross-connects) #5 is towards the end of the year I believe. P.S. AcceleRouter should be in there somewhere too. As you can see, 1999 is a "Get the products announced and available" year. 2000 and beyond should be when the true impacts of this new product cycle really begin to be felt - which is why I'm holding long term.
