Stock Buy Back Friday June 4, 9:23 am Eastern Time Company Press Release *MicroTouch Announces Authorization of Stock Repurchase Plan* METHUEN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 1999--MicroTouch Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MTSI - news) today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a new Stock Repurchase Program, effective immediately, of up to $5 million of the Company's common stock. The Company had a cash position of approximately $28.5 million at the end of the first quarter of fiscal year 1999. The Company anticipates that the shares will be used for transactions pursuant to the Company's employee stock option and stock purchase plans and its director stock option plan.
