<<You are absolutely right. Over the centuries American Indians slaughtered more American Indians than the white man ever did. Even today the Apaches cannot live on the same reservation as the Sioux or the Navajo. Every tribe insists on having it's own piece of land separate from other tribes.
Sounds a lot like the Balkans right here in the USA>>

Well, I wouldnt go that far. There are some "unrecognized" Indian tribes that are still clamoring for reservations of their own. One agregious example is the Pohatchee (sp?) Indians of Connecticut/Rhode Island. Several years ago this debatable tribe got their own reservation, where no one actually lives, and promptly set up a gambling casino. In many ways, these unrecognized tribal groups just want to cash in.

There really isnt the same kind of attitude amongst native americans. Actually native americans are tending towards a sort of generic culture. Ive been to several pow wows in Pennsylvania and New York State, and I have to say it was quite ridiculous to see Algonquin indians doing the Ghost Dance in Plains Indians garb and camping out in teepees. Similiarly everytime an archaeology crew unearths a Paleoindian remains, there is the inevitable "indian cultural rights" activist claiming that the remains are his ancestor and belong to the tribes, even though the remains predate any specific tribe. Its a sort of Pan-indianism. <g>

You make a statement but offer no documentation.Show me proof of these intertribal massacres.

Of course the Apache won't live on the same reservation with other tribes.and visa-versa. It would be like asking a Texan to share quarters with urban New Yorkers or Hollywood Californians.YUK!
