The PETA and AR types found out about this plan and descended
on the poor guy and he pulled the plug on his survival plan. He should have made the
PETA loonies buy his pigs for 100 a copy and let them take care of 'em.

Ice it's astonishing that the world is so bizzare that this hog farmer could not let hunters hunt pigs on his property.

BTW. Pork prices have come down, at least here in Houston. Pork roast's that were 4$ a pound last year and may have even been up higher than that 2 years previously. Have been selling for 2$ a pound,on sale, these are the solid ones without bones, The price cuts worked their way through the system slowly and of course the consumer never sees anythng near 100% of lower costs.

In Houston, the past several years, either black angus roast beef or solid pork loins have been on sale and 2$ a pound or less.

Which represents a lower price than hamburger meat. we often have chicken, cut in pieces for .99 cents a pound. And this is at Randall's,
which is an upscale Grocercy chain, where you can even buy freshly prepared Sushi ( for more money) and drop serious coin on exotic teas,
prepared foods etc.
