D.Long, I can imagine the politics involved in revisionism would get real tedious to someone who has actually studied the history of the America's. I go through the same sort of thing as it relates to the quality profession. Sound bites or social realities dominate far too much intellectual discovery today. I believe that's one of the main reasons I enjoy SI so much. Assumptions are usually immediately challenged, and intellectual discourse is free to run it's course. By the way, I enjoy the way this thread occasionally veer's off into other related and sometimes unrelated subjects. Michael
