SUNW lost 4 7/16 this week on relatively moderate volume despite some good research house "buy" recommendations. So, what does this mean? I believe SUNW will trade down Monday and the "smart money" is waiting to pounce on SUNW. I will look to pick up some bargain basement prices at around $55 to $58 myself. I Look for a tech rebound due to release of IPO "IXL, Inc." on Tuesday creating some renewed net stock awareness and upward momentum.

Hey Charles we actually had an insult free exchange ...

>> Cell phones and their kin will displace much of MSFT's
>> growth going forward, and

Don't see any evidence of that. PC's sales are accelerating (especially sub $1000) and *most* of them (95%) are running a MSFT OS; see my posts to Cheryl from a while back for #'s. CE, by virtue of MSFT investments, guaranteed it's presence in set-tops and PDA's. Their recent spree has made CPQ re-think their Linux based PDA strategy. The message is support CE or lose market share. Regardless whether CE is perfect now you can bet it will be shortly.

>>CPQ...They have a PC mentality through and through

Could be true and is probably why they've had trouble moving forward since the acquisitions. Don't count them out since they are strategically better positioned than DELL; have solutions for the desktop through Alpha based UNIX/VMS through fault tolerant non-stop Tandems.
