Does softswitching in the manner described in the article enhance the cause of dumbing down networks, in your opinion? Or, does it cause them to be solidified in their current intelligent states, substituting only those earlier transport and signaling protocols with those which are friendlier to the IP regime? Curious, as to what your implied message was...
