"What prices would gold and silver have to reach to enable NEM to achieve that figure giving me a $1.20/lb price on copper?"

Trick question? Copper can go to $1.20/lb without Gold or silver moving. $3.00/share earnings for NEM {now $2.27 USD} isn't really much if Copper goes to that level, I'd suggest that maybe Gold would have to go lower then where it is now.

Tough that nobody is home to answer your posts.

Place foot in mouth:

<<What prices would gold and silver have to reach to
enable NEM to achieve that figure giving me a $1.20/lb price on copper?>>

My answer: Gold & silver could stay the same, theoretically, and copper could still rise. I doubt that would happen but if CB's foolishly sell into the supply deficit in AU for another 2 years, it could happen. -g- There might just be a spike in gold when the CB's stop. -g-

BTW, your thought awhile back that adding to the supply at depressed prices only increases demand appears to be correct. AU demand is surging even more as the Swiss and Brits sell into the bottom. -g-
